That steam chart always looks like that for empires due to the way the resolution of the data is greater for the last month or two and the rest of the data before that is just the week or month peak.
This fall seems to have happened at the same time i slowed down playing empires. Am i linked to empiresmod's downfall?
There's been a decline since the shoutbox, because people prefer to use that now. Also, (most) bots aren't counted anymore.
That decline is because December 2015 is roughly 2/5ths of the way through. We're on our way to slightly improve over November. Note how the graph shows posts, not members online or users browsing

Krenzo isn't highly involving himself with Empires anymore either, yet he permabanned him for something others might have gotten an infraction or a day off. Killing of half of the forum population in the process, yet here you are complaining about the declining postcount on the forums.
