flak tank

what about a flak tank? with 2x3 mg slots. this would be very cool because u can take airplanes down or use it a massive anti infantery tank (much more like the apc). i dont think it would be overpowered. maybe it can just have 2-2-2-2 armor plates. maybe it overheats anyway so that u cant make a "furry anti infantery tank" out of it.

I can't really see any application for it against infantry. as the existing 3 slot 50 cal already kills them very easily.

Against aircraft it would make more sense to have missiles or some proper AA guns.

Also this wouldn't be a flak tank, flak shells as far as I know operate by spreading small particles into the air which clog the engines of aircraft and cause them to stall.

If you don't want infantry rape set it up to be a high RoF explosive MG that has a large cone, and make the turret arty styled, but capable of turning.

It'll look like flak.

 

I'd hate to see what it would do to cvs and absorbant armor tanks.

 

That's why we make the cannon tilted upwards, like an arty.

damn this is so awesome, they should impliment it in 3.0! Oh wait...they are (or something similar).

 

There is only one place where I have seen this used effectively, this is escort at that fateful turn after the 2nd flag. All other ramps are more trouble than not to use, notice how people don't win fights with arties. Ever.

I killed an APC in an arty at short range doing this just the other day.

I saw something like this before, but with a Flak 88 type gun, and a chassis permutation for the arty making it like a type of WWII american heavy artillary piece that only shot foreward. Cant remember the name, maby someone will help me out...
