I passionatly hate that hats mentality ingame. Game makers who introduces such micro-transactions systems into their game(assuming that these game were bought - like TF2) should be sent to re-education camps in North Korea. :mad:
I'm not sure if thats generally true. I mean Activision or EA style dlcs are a total ripoff, but Valve is doing it actually pretty well. They are selling community content and give most of the profits back to the artists. Thaz system is actually quite neat and good for a community. Someone makes a great map and the players is ablle to thank the mapper by buying some stupid stamp for a small amount of money, players who dont care much dont have to buy those things. Everyone profits. The tf2 store system is actually quite interesting and I guess they are going to do the same with portal 2. Mappers and artists are going to make some money. Players get free content and Portals replay value grows bigger and bigger. That is completly different then for example Biowares approach. They basically cut content out and sell it off later :/

you are assuming moderators are not allowed to moderate there own threads? or are you assuming im not allowed to infract a person after i asked everyone and him specific to go back on topic because its posted in the "off topic" forum, and that since the black hole has been removed from access, they should just make off topic the new black hole? on the second point, thats exactly why i infracted him, this is not the black hole... i will tolerate off topicness as long as it makes sense, and in that perspective i would have let it slide if he would have made a new thread about his stripper gf but he chose not to... if its "just" to be off topic i think that crosses a line if you still feel i am unfair, contact me on steam and we will talk about it
