Favourite GameType?

What is your favourite gametype in Empires?

 

I prefer classic when everyone - including the enemy - knows what they're doing but sometimes, a bad team or a bad comm makes me just want to not play at all at times

 

I think classic is the best; it's what makes Empires stand out from the other mods. Mission is quite possibly the worst gametype atm.

 

Conquest and mission (although escort needs a bit of balancing). I've never been a fan of driving tanks in games, so I usually end up as cannon fodder on classical maps.

 

I think the obvious winner will be classic.

I don't even like the other two gametypes most of the time.
Classic is what makes Empires Empires.

 

So does anyone other than me not consider escort to be any different from anyother flag map?

 

I pretty much call all flag maps conquest.

 

It's pretty much the same thing yeah. I just voted for it because it's a fun map to play, even though it's next to impossible to win (as NF). I probably should had voted for Conquest though.

 

O'rly? Seems the last 5 times or so I played NF on escort my team won.

 

Classic definitely, but others are nice for a break.

The classic maps are definitely what Empires is all about, but the other maps are sort of an intermission. I know I always enjoy to take a break and just run around and shoot shit.

 

There's that KM server that everyone plays for some unknown reason that has all its conquest maps lined up in a row.

Honest to Krenzo, I have no idea why they've done that - conquest maps are bollocks. You spend 2 hours trying to end escort, then glycencity loads and you do that thing when you throw your hands in the air and shout, "Oh for Krenzo's sake".

I selected Mission because ESCORT RULES SUPREME

If you lose on NF that means your team is too new to appreciate it, if you lose on BE while not advancing at all it means your team is too new to appreciate it.

If you have good teams on both sides, hold on to your rectum because it'll be one hell of a ride

 

Any map that is not made by Grizzly

 

I've never won as NF on it. Perhaps it's the server I play on or something. But it seems to me that in order to win you'll have to have a lot more skill than BE needs. All it takes is for a few NF to waste tickets and you've lost.

Last time I played we did nothing but revive one another over and over and we did a fairly good job at holding our position, but that's only because the BE were doing nothing at all to move forward, until at the end where they finally did a push and totally raped us.

 

I guess conquest is good for a break after playing an hour long match in classic. On the other hand, mission is more exhausting than classic :dead_nf:

 

I like infantry combat, so conquest and mission for me.

 

I vote District as worst gametype!
