Extremely pressing, game altering bug

So basically admins don't know what they're doing and I am punished for it. I always use console and user ID for bans/kicks etc. Unless I really want everybody to know it was me.

Actually, if you consider Empires as just one giant grump factory then everything makes a lot more sense.

What about when every one on the sever has almost the same name ?
Would that cause the same problem ?
Granted it isn't often. But there has been times everyone's name was a noob.


Just seems retarded to run a plugin like this just so admins don't have to scroll threw a list to ban someone. There is also the cvar to show all users on a server and list their steam id.

Didn't even know admins did anything anymore besides change maps.:D

Was just stating that if people had similar names the @___ wouldn't always work right. So why all of a sudden is this an issue.
This plugin did nothing but inconvenience the community.


We are lucky to even get half full server now. So why implement something to make it easier for the (shit) admins to ban people. And yes it is only for shit admins. People that know how to be an admin don't need plugins like this.

Even Vicki said that there wasn't anyone causing a problem but her admins was worried that they couldn't ban / kick someone who's name was all symbols.

So install a non approved plugin that messes up almost every clan tag
just because the admins don't know how to admin......

If someone has admin and has no idea what they are doing maybe that person shouldn't be an admin.

If you had a business and your manager had no idea how to deal with your clients would you inconvenience the clients or just get rid of the manager ?

When JGF got admin I assumed pretty much any one who wanted it could have it. Fuck even creeper got admin.

Creeepr got admin because of contribution and stuff. JGF I forgot, but there are actual reasons.
