Ok lets assume we give every class a better e-build so less people have to do boring tasks. The problem is it would make the engineer less important but on the other hand it might improve gameplay. I would suggest to give the engineer some other supporting skills instead. Examples: Let the engineer choose between 2 turrets from the start or ONE turret that build itself up in 5 seconds (lvl1 only). Give the engineer a health crate (long cooldown time) Give the engineer auras like the squad auras but he can switch (or choose when he spawns). Let the engineer place an armory (one per spawn) Make it so friendly units see the health (maybee just color coded, red, yellow, green) of all enemy units in a specific radius. Give the engineer kill assists if people around him kill someone when they used ammo or health from him.
How ****** are you? Seriously I start throwing random suggestions into the room to start a discussion and the first 2 post are nothing else than negative anti creative posts. Do you actually know how a creative process works? How to develop ideas? Ever heard of something like creating a pool of ideas without judging it to create a base to develop something? Isn't thats what we're doing now, DISCUSSING the right and wrongs with the suggestion, not just THIS IS AWESOME ADD IT IN NOW!1111!!!111 If your suggestion can't withstand some criticism at all, then is it really a good suggestion? If you however, made a good suggestion and not just a random one like you said yourself, there would be a good chance people would like it and it would actually be put into the game.
What about gathering ideas, not judging them? The idea is not random and I posted some examples to start a discussion not to give people a target to express their frustraitions.

... Tbh, Engy needs nothing really if repair is redistributed. Perhaps a look at weapons in the future, maybe have smg1 be engy-restricted or something like that. But really, nothing else, no buffs, nothing.
self-righteous, though its a few letters more - but i always make random asterixes aswell, so it could be since it fits you. aaaaaaaanyway ... ... i too dont think that the engineer would need a buff. revive still is the single most powerful skill there is to pick in this game. additional the engi can supply ammos, cover and quick defences as well as repair tanks. true, we will see more grens later on, but this also means that there are more reason to play riflemen, which again gives enough reason to pick supportive classes. but lets be serious, which army consists of more engineers then rifleman?
