Because we all know Healing Upgrade is only useful in inf maps, let's make a suggestion. Let's make the engi be able to heal people within 3 feet around himself. This will cost the same amount of calq energy, but it gets the job done faster. Ex. Engineer has 3 teammates. Each has 50Hp. Teammates huddle around engy. Engy starts healing, losing 3 calq points per ½second. Is it overpowered? :eek: Well, this skill could be used with one or more engy to make a squad indestructible. Not to mention people could easily heal their Rifleman while he's taking fire. Overall, though, it will most likely be used as a 3/4 skill slot skill.
I think it already works well the way it is, if you got the healing upgrade you heal people so fast that your suggestion seems kinda useless. There is also that instant heal squadpower so i think we're all good tbh.
I was also aiming toward the, "Your ally no longer has to stay still" thing. It's a pain when the guy you're healing keeps moving.
This problem has the same roots as melee. The lag correction isn't tuned enough, so even though it looks like your healing him (the lttle fuzz apears) nothing is actually happening. with melee, even though you hear the sound and see the blood, he ain't taking damage. If this gets fixed, then a bit of tweaking with the range of the calculator will allow you to heal on the go.
I wasn't really aiming for the whole "Range" thing, I was aiming for healing more than one person at a time. Thanks for the support though ^_^
