I have this weird glitch when I drop walls as engineer.

Here's how I drop the walls:
1# Time: Dropping walls from point A -> B, no problem at all.
*In between I changed from calc to other weapons*
2# Time: Marking C, and as soon as I marked C, it tries to drop a wall from B -> C.

After that the cycle repeats. It's probably not the games fault since everyone else doesn't seem to have this so I hope someone had this problem before.

That happens quite a lot for me. Walls are bugged to shit if you ask me.
Does anyone know if the max wall limit bug is getting fixed some time in the near future?

If I show the wall building code you'll go through the five stages of grief:

    1. Denial: Bull. Shit.
    2. Anger: HOW IS THIS EVEN IN THE GAME
    3. Bargaining: Ok so how about you fix it for like 50%
    4. Depression: Fuck not even that
    5. Acceptance: Well I guess it doesn't happen all the time

I mostly agree but after acceptance you start refactoring tiny bits. Once every stupid thing is formatted well and redundant code is removed you move to refactoring and so on. The key is not to expect miracles when it comes to refactoring code Krenzo copied and pasted 50 times.

So, was Krenzo just a very bad (but determined) coder? How does shit like this even happen?

I've only taken a one semester course in intro Java, so I'm genuinely ignorant of this stuff. But even we covered things like methods (which I assume are universal across many languages). Wouldn't a method (or something analogous) be the obvious solution to copying and pasting code "50 times"?

well this could be possible when you are trying to make a multiplayer mod of a game when you don't have internet to test code or read up on segments of code. He had to go to his school to go online to read up on source code and then copy some things and come back home to try it out.(so I read)

You might say he is bad in the way that he didn't go back over his code once he got it fairly working to clean it up.

Then you also have the multiple ports to new engines. THAT can't be good for the code unless they are doing clean up after each port which they should be.

indeed post the codes and then see if anyone will fix it for you with their spare time instead of yours.

I bet it's full of magic numbers, conditionals nested in conditionals nested in loops nested in..., and has no comments or documentation. All as one gigantic function.

honestly this game would get much farther if it was a bit more open sourced about the parts that they can open up with without giving away too much.

tbh i liked walls better before they got fixed and could only be destroyed by engis deconstructing them (or half an hour of conc/tank/arty spam)
i know its in a while now, but i never got around mentioning it anywhere.

what i do agree to, is that it looks epic when arties destroy multi-layer walls ...

After you dropped your wall, don't switch to a weapon. Just press right mouse button to end the wall dropping process and you shouldn't have any problems dropping your next wall.
