I'm running windows xp, AMD Athlon, ATI Radeon 9550 and using the onboard NVIDIA nForce sound. I just installed Vent and that's when these crashes started. I turned off Vent and the game seems to work fine. I've had at least eight of these crashes while playing and in spec and it's not limited to just one map. I'm going to try playing with it off for a few more days and see if I get a crash. I'm runing 2.24d. I already submitted my crash dump. The other engine errors on the forum didn't sound like what I have. I also tried looking on Vent's forum for something similar but came up with nothing. Has anyone else encountered something like this?
It seems there's quite a few threads in other forums about ventrilo crashing CSS or DODS. I didn't see any real solutions though.
