Engine Error - Crash

this is a new crash i did get just now ... som1 know a way to avoid it ?

Engine Error

Can't load lump 53, allocation of 7908185* bytes failed!!!

*its diffrent number's her ...

 

i keep having this 1 with mapchanged or retry / server changes

 

It's a level crash. Do you know what level it is? We might have to optimize one of them.

 

streetsoffire and urbanchaos is the 2 maps i mainly get this one (that i rember )

 

What a surprise.

 

Grizzly likes to push the HL 2 engine until it breaks basically. Those are both his maps.

 

vista + empires mod 2.0 = madnees

 

It has nothing to do with vista.

 

maybe not, but try instaling vista it crash all the time i have 5 DIFFRENT crash that come now and then

1. this one
2. game stop and i get a error msg
3. game stop and just throw me to deskop while vista try to find out why it did stop
4. no reason at all, it just stop
5. another one just like this one, but i dont get that error loading *a big number*

btw, it was another map that i dont rember the name on ... think it was ''canyon'' of somthing, not sure but its surly an anoying error..

EDIT: omg, it was ''slaughtered'' i did get that error on once .. damn my memory suck's

gona try the steeps from that vista crash thread later... but it realy must be hard to make this mod :eek:

btw, why dosnt this crash ALL the time ? ... i just reset empire and join again at this load error (dosnt make it lesser anoying)

 

Only had one so far and I think it's because I ran out of memory big time..
PC locked up and didn't do anything on map load

btw. what a surprise :D 1GB to run vista and empires
