Wait, isn't empires about making bases, having a commander, and doing strategic shit with tanks and spawn points, resources and research? Why do you people only vote shitty, shitty, conquest maps, whose gameplay doesn't have any correspondence to the whole point behind empires? So often do entire server populations leave, or sit in spec, for 30 minutes while a real commander map is played, then vote and play on the worst maps in the mod. If this mod were only comprised of those deathmatch maps, would you actually play it? Play it with this mods terrible gameplay mechanics of infantry vs. infantry? There are so many better games than empires for team deathmatch. Go download real deathmatch games and get the fuck out of Empires.

I feel the same way Castrol GX.. And I think the mowtar is OP in DM maps and the rifles are OP on classic maps.. But my theories as to why they vote for shit maps is because sometimes their is only 1 good or willing comm so games end up so lop sided and end quick.. Or 2 because people play for 25 hours a day and get tired of good maps and just want to turbo jeep on gaybow road for lulz.
most empires players want to play simple and monotonous maps because they are braindead and dont want to think. srsly, i cant think of any other explanation why they play this shit. they just want to have boring stalemates where they can play the game in deathmatch style. thatswhy rainbowroad, slaughtered, district and escort are the most popular maps ... lol the crappy maps are played all the time. rainbowroad, slaughtered, district, crossroads, escort ... most of the time when i look into the server browser one of these maps is played on viper/main server. sometimes ppl even nominate several versions of district (there are like 5 on viper) so that other maps dont get voted.
