Empires V2.25 crash.

HL2.exe application error during game load up. I tried downloading the client from the other links and installing and it does the same thing. I also reinstalled Source sdk base 2007.

 

What's your CPU?

 

AMD athlon, 2.1ghz.

On a more serious note:

 

Sorry mate, looks like you're SOL. Your processor doesn't support SSE2, which empires now uses. You won't be able to play with your current CPU.

Maybe do what Brutos says so you can confirm if your CPU has SSE2 or not. If this is your problem, PM Brutos and he might be able to help you out.

The problem is that he's using a version that hasn't even been developed yet (2.55).../joke

The current version is 2.25.

 

You have your versions mixed up...the current ver. is 2.25, not 2.55.

Also, MOOtant will send you some DLL files, and he'll (hopefully ) give you instructions on how to use them. These will allow you to play, and operate as a small fix for people who don't have processor from the last 5 years.

Ok, I downloaded both from Brutos old cpu topic. Theres also a client.dll.
