I just want to say, that Empires is fun again. ove: :D I think the cause for this is, that more good players now stack on BE side. And so the balance problems aren't that much. (Can server admins check the match win statistics?) Also there are more active players. Maybe because the low ping Empires Main Server is back? So you mostly have 2 servers (+Nachos) with enough players on it. Don't know why the other servers aren't that popular (Warfactory because of resources multiplier?) No - it doesn't matter which side gets stacked, every game is boring because every game its the same team of vets versus a team of bumbling newbies. Empires will never be fun again until the vets stop circle jerking each other and hit auto join.
I always just auto. I think a lot of people auto. I know there are people who consciously stack, but maybe some of this is perceived because of a relatively small ratio of vets to noobs? FYI, starting a duplicate thread after the second one was closed is a good way to attract mod/admin attention...
I agree, since I play BE almost exclusively nowadays. With the presence of skilled players, it's good if Empires is left just like this.
No. Empires is not good left unbalanced to one side. Fix the LT/AFV thing, and other imbalances. Then the game will be fun.
I join whichever team has the better players because babysitting noobs is extremely annoying and I never win anyway because I can't command and play at the same time, so I either yell at the team for not doing what I say, or yell at the comm for not doing what I say. I don't actually have to win, but a bad comm means I can't even play as an infantryman, because I don't have access to the stuff I need to play. On the other hand a bad team means I can't play as commander, because my units can't follow instructions and are inferior to the enemy units and so cannot complete the objectives I set. Either way it means I can't play the game. Sometimes I end up on a server with no good players, and after about half an hour I am infuriated and leave.
But see, if all the vets stack one side, two things come of it: 1.) Noobs lose, get angry, and complain about insane stacks 2.) Noobs never get any better because they're left to fend for themselves One thing I absolutely hate is players who hang out in spec until the match begins. It's vain and inconsiderate. Just auto and play, and if the noobs are ticking you off, help them and be patient.
I always find joining the losing team way more challenging(It is probrally a typo but I don't care to look it up because internet is screwed up today.)
This thread blows my mind. I always, without exception, use auto-join. I naturally assumed everyone who wasn't a total dick did too. I assumed the team choice buttons were for clan matches. This is fucked up. I feel like I'm at a party and everyone but me is casually talking about their love of child pornography or something. What is wrong with you people? Does everyone but me stack? WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON??!!
