Empires is back!

I don't know exactly what you guys did, but goddamn it works!

I haven't enjoyed empires this much since the good old days. I'd almost quit playing...I havn't been on the forums for months...but this latest version fucking rocks. :D

The guns feel deadly. It's no longer a case of pointing the gun and just praying the other guy dies first. The games can last a long time. Brutal sieges are fun again, not an exercise in frustration. Shit just feels slicker.

I'm not sold on the new targeting system, but whatever. Others may grumble, but Empires gets the Hendar23 thumbs-up again.

When I played last night there was a grand total of Andronicus, Dawgas and Myself playing empires, in the entire planet.

Currently only one server is running version 2.28 and exactly 0 people are playing.

And here it is Friday afternoon and the weather is shitty.

I think the 2.25 release brought a lot of new players and many players rejoined Empires. What is different compared to the last release?

 

This release isn't on ModDB yet.

Also, there are 2 servers active and over 20 people playing.

And who is responsible for the ModDB update? Are there no other possibilities to advertise for Empires?

Empires is back. Awesome job devs.

 

The 20-30 FPS stop me from playing this, also mat_queue_mode 2 gives me 100fps, but crashes 1 minute after.. sooo :/
(/too lazy to remove particles and tune down settings ... :/ )

 

There's something dropping everyone's FPS through the floor, not sure what though.
