Is it ever possible that empires will be "ready" for Steamworks with the current development pace? There are many many bugs yet to work out. The dev team will simply do lots of compromise to get something out hopefully before the population gets too much lower and become unplayable. For me it has already hit that level, at least at the times I have wanted to play.

 

I want to say that this post honestly made me angry, which not a lot does to be fair. It's like you're entirely refuting the facts that we're spamming for testers and making shit tonnes of commits every single day, with arguably the fastest development pace since Krenzo left, just so you can berate people to gain some sort of self worth. It really is disgusting, and I hope others come forward and call you out on this bullshit, because it really isn't right.

'Aye, Trickster is right. Everyday he's been running the daily tests which last for about two hours, with Saturday pugs. Been testing to hell and back everything we can think of. Jephir and BeerDude have been putting a helluva' lot of work in too; sometimes the test will end and I'll check the forums right afterwards to see a post that says most of the bugs that were found just an hour or two before have already been fixed. The particle work that Empty has done is beautiful, the new BE heavy looks great and the map updates are going to be very enjoyable, with eastborough becoming official and possibly midbridge if I've heard things correctly, which means that map will get more play.

I am elated that there is alot of work going on the past few weeks. Its a dramatic improvement from what it was. The only things I actually have beef with is the low server pop atm and the missing blackhole. Blackhole is fixable. The other needs a larger PR campaign.

It is incredible that the mod has any development at all - let alone the furious pace that it is at right now. Plus all the spin offs and mapping and stuff that is happening too.

Seriously Empires is older than the sun, quit y'whining and just fucking play it, it is already a fine game regardless and no-one cares about a black hole.
