empires clock malfunctioning

    on my pc when i host a server the countdowns for example for game start often skips numbers or has long and short seconds

    anyone know anything about this?

    Localised temporal distortion around your CPU.

    Either that or it's just lag, sometimes games have erratic tick rates, even on local machines.

    It's lag. For instance, most maps show you getting 2 res per tick for 1 refinery, so i made my res on my map 2 res per ref at first. Turns out the server only shows the res in 2 tick intervals or so, so I had double the normal res >_>

    i thought this too, but for example i host a lan player server and every time i do this it skips the number 16 when counting down from the game start


    try it, had it 3 times in a row on 16, (actually on 17 just jumping to 15) too much coincidence its just randomly on 16 imo
