This is not a stock map, perhaps it didn't download correctly? Go to empires/empires/download/maps and find that .bsp file, check the file size - last time I had this error, the map didn't download correctly and i had a 1 KB file instead of the proper one.
Confirmed. My emp_tropicvendetta_rc4.bsp file has just 363 Bytes. So I deleted all *tropicvendetta* files below the empires folder. dir *tropicvendetta* /s/b .\Empires\empires\download\maps\emp_tropicvendetta_rc4.bsp .\Empires\empires\download\maps\emp_tropicvendetta_rc4.res .\Empires\empires\download\maps\graphs\emp_tropicvendetta_rc4.ain .\Empires\empires\download\materials\maps\emp_tropicvendetta_rc4.vmt .\Empires\empires\download\materials\maps\emp_tropicvendetta_rc4.vtf .\Empires\empires\download\resource\maps\emp_tropicvendetta_rc4.txt .\Empires\empires\particles\emp_tropicvendetta.pcf Unfortunately I can not test the map download, because Server Metro's fun hut does not show this map while low server pop.
Forgot the command.I think it's the "sv_downloadurl".But in console while connected to the server you put the command in and it will show the download server for the server. If they have it enabled. Then you can download any maps or content on their server. Then just drop the map file into your maps folder and the mini map texture into it's folder. Then just reload empires.
