This mod is about new sounds, new vehicle weapons, one new chassis and two modified versions, new infantry weapon tweaks, new weight balance system which should make LTs and MTs more useful late game and also many many other tweaks and twists, such as correct background picture for BE's APC customization window and so on. :p

That's the final release version even it isn't balanced at all. Costs are unchecked, no real FPS/RTS games have been done at all, infantry weapons can be anything..., weight balance, weapon balance and sooo oon.....

Actually, everything which has been changed could be unbalanced... :p

And that mod is STILL missing those correct commander selection pictures, replacement part icons and Jeeps with gun mounts or maybe even that siege tank thing.

JCW's server is going to get restarted soon, so enjoy.

And even this mod could be and can be very badly unbalanced at some parts, I released it because I didn't want to miss my own personal project's release party because when I'm in the army, I don't have a chance for that. So, download and play it.

Oh yeah, and installation instructions are in the rar file.

I finished playing my first few games on Altered Universe. It's pretty nice, the new weapons are a great addition to Empires. I managed to get some game footage of epic tank battles (mostly tank flips from the push missiles). I'll post it once processing is done.

They are called kinetic missiles and those are getting fixed because of a bug in Empires not caused by me and not fixable by me.

I reduced their force.

It isn't fun to lose brand new tank which costs 1000 res. to a single missile.

sounds great. doesn this update altored empires or is another mod? the HDD steam is installed on gets filled up with crap a lot
so, this is like altored empires but you guys added more stuff than last time? and balanced weapons is for sissies :D its usually more fun when theyres a bunch of ownage weapons. as long as the really fast engines and coil cannons n plasma miniguns are still theyre, im good :D and you guys should make the 'sniper rifle' if u didnt take it out, do realistic damage. a 30-6 round in your chest will kill you, pretty much. and somethingthat would be great is if heads exploded like in gears of war. that would be uber. doesnt haveta be implemented, just a thought.

And as much as I could understand at your EXTREMELY HORRIBLE SPELLING, yes this works as "a totally new mod" when you copy your Empires folder and rename the folder to something else. Steam understands it as a new mod then even this is just the same as Empires but with all kinds of addons.

 

does the physics engine support that? i dont think so
