yay there are alot of people playing DAMN I want to play but on the other hand it feels very important to get the game to the last 140+ or so people on the torrent so we can get a steady player base all day.

 

I got a copy of uTorrent dedicated to seeding Empires. will be running at all times

it says almost 48000 have gotten it so far... any records of how many got the 1.07 when it was released ?

Nice, but there sure are a few bitching about the grafix in the comments about it being....well not nice. I dont get it I think most of the levels are very fancy looking and HUGE compared to most normal mods/fps online. Also there is even working LCDs on guns and many other details.

I somehow didn't find this mod fun. The gameplay was ok, but the graphics and level design was awful. Reminded me of Quake.
I can understand that they need flat surfaces and clear corners to make the vehicles work in the map, but that doesn't mean everything has to look like a cardboard box.
The weapons feel strange, shooting isn't fun. And they're not well balanced.

fuck I think i remember that guy, he was comparing it to quake 1 ingame too.

He was playing escort, and the map before had been slaughtered, both of which need graphical updates. Right after he quit I thought of the perfect thing to say to him "try glycen city"... but he'd gone. what's worse, the reason he was in a bad mood was because i'd been killing everyone with the BE AR not realising that NF team were getting pissed off until they actually started complaining about it.

 

oh well showing yourself on escort=death most of the time. I remember before I started with the mines I sometimes got killed like 10+ times without getting a single kill when on NF trying to use smgs/Heavy rifle/Heavy MG. That can be quite frustrating for new people. I remember one game in district before the 1.07 player base dried out I got somewhere above 130 kills in a game with the BE AR, in a game of mainly noobs on the NF team. When I looked at their scores I kindoff felt bad as a few of the rushing people almost had no kills and had just been hammered for like and hour.
