    [UPDATE 010609]

Made the map more infantry friendly in therms of cover. Added ammo and health crates on the capture point.

    [UPDATE 240509]

Redid everything from scratch, this is the middle of the map. It contains 2 resource points, and a flag with spawnpoint. This point will be very hard to capture once it is the hands of the enemy. Wall and Command building has been disabled in this point. Turrets are only allowed up and including level 2. I'm currently adding more stuff to further prevent vehicle movement and to optimise the cover for infantry squads.

    [UPDATE 040509]

I'm working on this map for about a day now. And I just took the middle of the map to a viewable level. It feathers 3 resource point, and 3 ruins that act as a cover for the infantry from vehicles. I'm currently adding trenches to provide more cover and prevent further vehicle movement. Speed and high manoeuverability is needed to keep your tank alive, so heavies aren't the best idea.

This is all a WIP, I still need to adjust the lightmapgrid fog and the lightning in general. The scene also needs more foliage.

From an infantry perspective, this is a bit inadequate. I recommend using varied levels in your terrain.

Even so, its a good start. Makes me think it should be called emp_nuclearwasteland though :p

That would actually be a rather awesome premise for a map. TO THE HAMMER-MOBILE!

I actually like the height variation; no mountain climbing, and crouching and proning will get you better cover than trying to run behind a hill. It's better than emp_canyon by far.
For everything else (like artillery), there's walls.

Also, don't count on heavies being weak due to their speed.

More ruined buildings! As long as you have adequate infantry cover, I could see this being interesting...

I have to agree with mageknight, keep in mind guys this looks like it's early and has lots of potential, i like the general outlook of the map, reminds me of some comand & conquor maps. I like the idea you have going, keep up the work.

Hope you give us updates as time goes since you posted this WIP pretty early in your work, good luck

I hope you can get some more and different textures, try the sof street textures, and blend them with dust. And a lot more different dust textures would be neat to. This type of map is going to either fail or be a huge success depending on the textures.

Map: DO WANT. It looks like a wasteland but it could be interesting.

After loving Fallout 3 as much as I did, it would be hard to not love that map.

I really like the building interiors in the updates, but the map still needs a bit more substance between them.
