emp_tutorial crashes on startup

    I click start server, select emp_tutorial, after loading and initialising I see the map (something snowy, I think; the minimap is quite white) with a popup covering most of the screen with white contents. Then hl2.exe crashes.

    Other maps do not crash if I start my own server with the same settings.

    Don't you have a button for "TUTORIAL"?
    And a map called "emp_tutorial_2015"?

    Since we did it that hacky way, existing installations will still have the old tutorial map.

    I don't see any button "tutorial" in the main menu. I also do not see any other maps with tutorial in the name.

    The .res file for the menu doesn't update? And they should still have the new emp_tutorial_2015 map..

    We can't delete files from existing installations and it's difficult to edit cfg files to prevent crashing, so this is the next best solution. Everything works great on new installations.

    Nah, you should be able to do it. At the time, we failed and didn't want to spend eighteen years figuring out what went wrong.

    Yeah but you can still add new files, so the OP should have the 2015 version of the emp_tutorial, right?
