My only problem with it was if I fucked up placement early I had no room for a VF. Gotta keep in mind when playing that map that you will need a spot for a VF.
i did that on purpose, I didnt want people setting up their base at the main start, its basically a temp spawn.
may i suggest something for a future similar map? it would be an infantry based map, instead of having infantry flighting on the valley floor, how mapping trails on a long stretch of cliff so infantry will fight at a "higher elevation" and at the bottom of the valley, the valley floor will have either toxic sludge or the sludge that slows tanks down (like manticore). it would slow the tanks down rendering them vulnerable to RPG fire. it would "force" infantry to travel with the tanks. the map would be as twisty and windy as yours. but yeh ^-^ nice map. i enjoy playing it
I think the real problem with the map is it's to plain, no real cover or anything and too tight together in the canyons. Ran out of room that's all, and didn't put enough attention to detail.
Alpinerush has been back on nominations due to requests to do so. Blast was removed due to requests to remove it but will be put back soon. Rainbow road has been removed for a bit but will be added back to nominations soon as well. My main problem for map rotations: I have my cfgs set that once a map is played whether it was nomianted or on mapcycle, it can't be played again for 12 maps. Which is a good amount of time. Unfortunately because of the memory leak in the empires code, I usually need to restart the server about 2 times a day because the ram usage gets very high and will crash the server. Becasue of the restart and or crash, the recently played maps get wiped out and maps get voted more times than they should, so players end up complaining about maps they don't like, sit in spec or leave the server because they get played too much. So I remove them for a bit then put them back at a later date.
hey Vicki, is it possible to have "water" like effects in the server? like for example make the whole map use water physics.. or have a map where its completely underwater, but disable breathing and enable underwater firing. i think it would be fun for alphine or many maps =3..
No, that isn't in any way possible, and it's honestly one of the stupidest suggestions I've ever heard. Kill yourself.
