Me too I love total war games. Ill probably be playing this one day, like I am medieval II right now.
I have medieval total war 2 but I didn't bother playing the grand campaign past ten turns. The ai made the game as pointless as I was practically playing rome total war again. So the ai still isn't good and their just trying to gimmick us? Or are the changes in combat worth it? (Keep in mind that if I wanted to play a naval warfare game I'd go play a naval warfare game). Are guns that fun against stupid ai? Don't get me wrong, I loved total war rome but it lost its appeal after beating several campaigns.
I haven't really tested the naval combat but it looks promessing. But the AI is dumb, try it. You'll laugh your ass off.
If I remember correctly,AI was one of the major issues they were trying to correct in the Total War series and had 3 programmers working on it.
Guess those folks failed a bit there. Also, I've managed to kill my own cavarly by jumping over a stonewall.. I mean, they were trained a little bit right?
The ship combat sucks balls. its all right at first but the enemy ai is dumb, and so is yours. Dont just click attack on the enemy, becuase apparently that means spin in circles around them. :/
