Dropbox just announced a new addition to its board. Who is it?, do you ask. Is it a skilled technician? Or a famous manager? No, Dropbox's new board member is war criminal Condoleezza Rice! Remember her? She was the chief propagandist for the Iraq invasion, staunch supporter of slaughtering half a million Iraqis to steal their oil. Additionally she supports torture and each and every spying activity of the NSA. And now she is in charge of the data millions of user upload to Dropbox. You can read a summary of her criminal activities here: http://www.drop-dropbox.com/ So if you are still using the NSA-subsidiary Dropbox, THINK AGAIN! Choose an alternative like MEGA, it now has a working Windows client and also clients for iOS and Android, it is a pretty mature product by now. More importantly you get 50GB of END-TO-END ENCRYPTED STORAGE. Your date is private with MEGA, unlike Dropbox who scans each and every upload for 'illegal' material and copyright infringement and gives access to your data to employees and to every governmental institution you can think of. With Dropbox it's going to jail because you uploaded a nude Simpsons drawing to your storage. Fight your inertia and get your ass up so you can sit down and open an account over at MEGA!
aww man i liked dropbox ima keep using it for random shit but I guess nothing sensitive goes on there anymore
Technically speaking, if this woman started the Iraq war then, I have her to thank for making me fucking minted.
I made the switch from Dropbox to Mega a while ago for documents. All there is on my Dropbox now is pictures and random shit.
Hmm, I just ran into my storage space on Dropbox, even though there's still space available. Me and my gf share each other's folder, so our total space is about 4.5GB. However, Dropbox counts the files of my Dropbox + her shared folder as the total amount I'm allowed to have, even when I'm adding files to HER (barely used) folder! Completely fucking crazy.
Protip: You dont get something for nothing. If you aren't paying for it then (in almost all cases) its GG privacy/security
i just realized, shouldnt you be buying dropbox shares mcgyver? i mean a real living war crimial, almost as good as gröfaz :p
Yeah, I'm interested in exactly what we should be hiding from the nsa. I'm not sure that I have anything that I woke want to hide.
Silly people, if you want security on your cloud sharing then use an AES-256 encrypted truecrypt volume with SHA-512 hash with a 20 character password inside your cloud folder then NO ONE can look at it (unless they steal your password using a keylogger...).
