I'd like to mention that in some cases model geometry works faster with the engine than level geometry. But quite impressive for something done in Hammer. You really should try out some modeling programs(XSI mod tool or Blender, if you're short on cash).

all the aircraft need to be vtol becuase where are we going to put the runways if they are not ?

my is done in xsi mod tools and it's not finish yet, I only did it in one night
if you look closely at the image, you can see the watermark

It needs a hollow cockpit and an openable windshield, so I can allow players to enter (I'd put a prop_vehicle_prisoner_pod in there).

Also, it would be great if somebody made a seat model which could be used to replace the original pod thing.

Anywhere? A HL2DM map I played had jet planes, and there was fairly enough room for runways.

I try to make a texture for the VTOL... Perhaps it could be usefull for somebody.

those things could seriously kick around the NOD aslong as there wasn't any msl around !

 

i like the none VTOL plane for the NF, looks like something out of the korean war (appropriately)

anyone know what the plans are for aircraft? like what classes are gonna be involved and stuff?

 

well , it seems were getting VTOL blimps , there slower so that the maps don't have to be so big so the servers won't crash.
i suppose there will be lighter( faster+lightly armed) and heavy(slow+lots of goodies on board)
very simaler to tank layouts
