Sometimes the walls or turrets of your teammates blocks your way. And all you can do is to shout for this person to remove this. Mostly they are build from new players, who doesn't know about blocking. If you recycle the turret/wall of your teammate, the teammate should receive a message about this. So if someone wants to use this for griefing the admin can ban him. Only Commander can recycle his own turrets/walls. Pro: -No more stupid blocking turrets/walls -prevent griefing (teammates can recycle walls of griefer quickly) Cons: -can be used for griefing
Er, no. I don't think so. We don't need ways for even more people on the server to ruin the game for the rest of us. Better to have too much cover you can rely on than the right amount of unreliable cover.
Wow, I'll love emp recruits removing walls that are supposed to cover tanks etc just because they think *I* am blocking the tanks (or even my own - lol). Idea isn't that bad, but it opens waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to many chances for griefing.
But what is better? -Having to many walls and turrets so that tanks and infantry can't get thru? -Or having less walls and turrets, so you can get killed faster. But you also have to chance to get out and fight. I prefer less walls/turrets. Crossroads: There is not much space for tanks and mostly many walls. So if the ramps are build you can't go anywhere with your tank, when middle is blocked. Escort: There often forgotten turrets which are blocking tanks to get thru. mvalley, cyclopean, slaughtered: You want to rush over the bridge but it's blocked by walls. And always asking commander to recycle something is very long-winded.
Commanders can recycle everyone's wall. I feel only they should have this ability since they have a general idea of the battlefield. And your suggestions opens new pathways to griefing.
griefing is not the issue, there are more and better ways to greif if someone is determined enough to do it. people who do not know/care about what is going on is the problem. the number 1 con is noobs removing cover to get a tank out but how many times has someone built you walls that you were crouching behind? how many times has that cam stopped your com from placing the rax in the only place it can fit? how many times have you been trapped in your base because of no infantry gaps left in walls?
One easy way to fix it is: Let the COMMANDER recycle the turrets and walls. Wait a minute.. He already can recycle walls.. Turrets however are a so so..
