Personally I prefer the old version, it was unique to empires, worked well, and most of all felt great while driving. Now it's sluggish and lame.

I think most of the vehicles are improved. But my 250 ping probably means i haven't noticed a difference.

The vehicle handling seems the same to me, except laggier.
I blame it on the available servers and my respectively poor ping.

I'm reserving judgment until I can play on a non-laggy server without people ramming me. ^_^

I'm always going to ram you >:o

But also, yeah, they were nice in testing, but we never had these lag issues

I can maneuver better on a unicycle covered with bees. I played on a local server and it was still horribly sluggish. Awful turn radii.

Im enjoying the handbrakes. But where'd my 3phase speed go? I think all vehicles / engines need more power as they are really sluggish when starting from a standstill especially on any kind of slope... (feels like you dont even have an engine but a squad of scouts behind you pushing in a half-assed scout way).

havnt noticed a massive difference in stearing tbh.

I've gotten used to it. It's kinda fun it not instantaneously turn on a dime to spin out.

definitely felt heavier, and slower, I'd say keep the heavy feeling but make the engines more responsive. so you have a little more pickup, but still carry the momentum of the weight of the tank.

If you roll back, engine wont go forward. It's retarded.

GUYS FFS. Look. In 2.12 every tank handled like a slower jeep. Thats wrong.

In 2.2, they handle slower, more sluggishly. A better word for how they handle is HEAVIER. Which is right. They are now at least slightly more realistic.

a quote taken out of context is always the best way to win an argument empty. Congratulations.

really though, sluggish movements for heavy vehicles makes sense. and it doesn't really hinder the game as much as you seem to think.

Now, if we can just increase the shift speed so taht we can reverse uphill, it'll be fine.

First of all, i'm not taking anyone serieus who sais something is better or worse, after only a few hours.

Secondly: i like the new system better
It still allows for great control once you get the hang of it, but you're no longer driving an rc race car.

what he said, even devs said that before ,so thats a rather bad argument

also they way it should be is fun > realism (to a degree ,of course, no lasers)

    Gameplay >>>> realism

    But

If realism happens to be more fun, don't throw it away cause just it's "realistic".

Empires with transparant killer ghost cars that can kill people but can't be destroyed themselves, would also not be realistic, so let's do that. Cause, it's not realistic, which is good.

Also, we have nukes, bio weapons, rail guns, ... how would lasers be anything less realistic? What do people have against lasers all the time.

I put lazers in there to make an example of something that people WOULD want to see here but it would be gay thing to play with
Also, you missed the part when i said "to a degree"
Well you might consider drifting vehicle handling fun, but most people bitch about it.
About lazers and realism : like where do you see any combat lasers? aside the aiming modules ,of course.
