After losing a lot of my files from the last thread, I've started making some models for Grizzly again, figured I would Restart my fail thread and post progress, in the form of pics, everyone loves pics. Pack9001 pics: note: might want to include only the textures that you will be using in your map, to reduce file size. Download: http://dump.desync.nl/dizzys_props_pack9001.rar
Things like that fan are really useful, more light fixtures, railings, panels in standard sizes and just a bit smaller than standard sizes (for sticking on walls) are brilliant. Miscellaneous stackable detail props, you can never have too many of them.
Yeh I'll try to make more small things I can complete quickly. Anyhow, I updated the pics, just making a spec atm and getting ready to export.
If it does, it can't be much. You can get an idea of the height by using the base as a 2/3 lane roads width.
Would it be possible to make very cpu friendly low height foliage that can be used to cover entire fields as detail props? Empires has huge maps and it could use something like that to break up a huge field.
thee is a way to make sprites auto generate on displacement textures just make the sprites chin high, and big on the flat direction (what word is used for that in English, its not length, not hight, but the other dimension...) so that they overlap enough should give some nasty gameplay if you give em enough see trough parts so that only at around 10-5 meters you can "see stuff" moving in the field
Can you PM me how he did that or a link to how he did that or anything that helps me trying to recreate it?
