different types of walls | structures

    i think different types of walls and other structures would be very usefull.

    - ramps (blocking vehicles one way)
    - walls only high enought to block vehicles (AND YEEEEEEES I KNOW U CAN PLACE A WALL AND NOT BUILD IT BUUUUUUUUUT THIS WALL ONLY HAS 25% HEALTH SO IT CAN DECONSTRUCTED VERY FAST)
    - very high walls (to protect tall buildings like the vf)
    - tank trap
    - walls with holes/slots so u can shot enemys while in full cover
    - short and long walls (shorts already ingame but u cant select them directly)

    to ensure that an engineer dont build to much of this stuff i suggest a point system.

    150 points (@ rank 1)

    - 15 points for a normal wall
    - 5 for a short
    - 30 for a long wall
    - 30 for a tall
    - 10 for a ramp
    and so on....
    (just an example)

    Very high walls I like. Ocean battletowers! YES

    Ramps... would be cool, but then again it sucks if you can get out of your base but not back in.

    Mabye just gates? Or like, laser fences only your own team can go through...

    So instead of walling in the enemy commander you could just laser-fence him in?

    It would be fun to build a ramp next to the enemy CV and then bury it under a massive pile of jeeps though.

    All of these walls promote nothing but turtling yourself in and closing off. They're pretty useless and if implemented would cause long stalemates because nobody would be able to shoot at anything else because there's walls in the way.

    + we don't need more map climbing with higher walls :/

    Lets not forget that high walls could allow map exploits, and we all know how much we like that. Well, maybe almost everybody.

    Anti-exploit: make it so you cant stand on top of walls (but still jump over low walls), like make whichever box the player impacts with pointed at the top.

    And at least this is streightforeward and i do like the point system (better than a basic wall count limit).

    Gates have been shot down, there's a very very good important reason but it escapes me. Search it.

    Because they are complicated.

    However, a simple team filter laserfence thing is not.
    Would be bitch to invade though as scout, maybe give him the ability to pass them while cloaked or he could just sabotage them...
