Different maps from server

When i try joining a server , it kicks me out saying " Your version of <map name> is different from the one of the server " .

I can join only maps with " emp_money " and " emp_cyclopean "

What to do ?

 

Reinstall.

btw. You might be able to get the maps and needed resource files from someone else
But you seriously should reinstall first cause you might miss more than just that

 

Doesn't work , i reinstalled but still the same error ...

EDIT : A friend will send me his " maps " folder . Do i need any other one ?

 

Normally, getting the maps folder should restore the files to their required version and contents.

You should only need the resource files if the text in the team selection window and the minimap aren't there, and those files are, as far as i know, not going to cause a "map differs from server" error.

 

You might get "map differs from server's" when you installed 1.07 version or earlier.

 

Ok now i can play on a few more maps ( crossroads ) , but still not all .
Maybe every download link you give has different versions ? Many of my friends can't play ALL maps , many , but not all .

 

Maybe you're just joining a server with another version?

 

I'm not sure about this, but if he deletes the mapfiles, wouldn't he download the correct ones from the first server he joins?

 

Only if the server admins have created a .lst file for each default map in DownloadLists, referencing each and every file required for the map to run.

EDIT : Can you please upload your maps \ whatever folder to an online hosting service and then send me the files ? Please .

 

I'd do it, but zipped up the maps take up 200 MB, and i can't upload that much at all.

You can try redownloading it again.

 

I recommend the torrent download.
