deposit wages to team resources

    i'm amazing at the game and i don't need vehicles, but here, comm, is some cash because i am your sugar daddy.

    (players should be to deposit their wage resources to the team pool resources)

    right now, you could do that with squad points. does it happen a lot?

    but wouldn't building up cheap walls get the team a quick radar?

    or they could be building refineries around the map for points. walls are pretty expensive, so that may not be cost effective.

    how much res do you get back when you recycle fully built walls?

    oh, right.

    it sounds like you need major coordination so like the game would be stacked anyway if you could pull htis off in a pub. for competitive play, it might be interesting to see this.

    Wages can be abused in many ways like healing each other under water.
    But because of the lack of teamplay in normal games this might become a problem at scrim or clan matches.

    And deposit wages might be a good idea but will be too complected for an average player. Also I think that most players are too selfish for this.

    If you could deposit wages then you would HAVE to do this in organized game or more advanced public game.

    If you could deposit wages, surely you'd have to rework how resources work just on the possibility of everyone getting a fairly decent res pool (say 300) and most depositing it together at a certain point (granting half a dozen heavy tanks).

    Wages is new. People thought it would really destroy the way res affects maps. So far it hasn't, why not give it some more time to see in what way it actually changes things, before suggesting this kind of system?

    the suggestion isn't going any place, so there's no harm in making it when the system is new. it's something to consider when people have played with it for this long.

    the botom line:
    if people would organize to farm for resources, like farming squad points and such, the game is either an outrageously stacked pub match or an organized match.

    Yeah that's true. Although I suppose what I was getting at is giving people a chance to get used to the system to get any real good feedback/discussion.

    But that's just me being a jackass for no reason, sorry about that.

    Adding a simple button that says "Deposit personal wages to team resource bank" or something wouldn't hurt. I don't see any cons with it. (Other than people who listen to their com to build walls and then recycle, on and on and on)

    To help deal with the potential abuse, you could make it so that only 50% of the wages goes to the team.

    That way, you could either have 600 for a personal tank, or you could give 300 to the team.

    It could be an even higher amount if needed - it should be possible to give it to your team for good teamwork, but there needs to be a cost associated with it.

    if putting your own wages in the team res creates a balance problem, then wages are not balanced

    i am so for this, even though i hate wages oh so much

    Implement it and watch how the entire metagame quickly tilts to:
    Early game: 80% of team continuously builds walls, 20% protects refs
    Midgame: 50% of team continuously builds walls, 50% plays around with tanks to destroys enemy refs
    Late game: Everyone nukes everyone with full composite tanks.

    Every game would become a 30-minute prelude to 10 minutes of tank wars

    DO IT :D

    Asshole comms (like me) would force their team to give the commander the resources they have.
