Didn't like the first trailer months ago, but i just played the demo and it is rather fun to play. Plus it does seem to have a story after all.
... I tried to buy it but aparently its not in my region, what shit is this. So I torrented and found there was no crack in it...
This game gets some interesting reviews: "Darkest of Days is the worst first-person shooter of this generation." http://www.destructoid.com/review-darkest-of-days-147921.phtml Is it really that bad?
Well it's bad, but not really that bad. I had no problem using the historical correct weapons for each epochs like the review hated, I did find the use of futuristic auto-aiming machineguns and grenade launchers that blow up entire fields in the american civil war way worse. Except that I can agree with most he writes. I liked the concept of the game but it was executed really bad. All the story and dialogues was a joke which I would rather of skipped, everone kept repeating themselves all the time driving me mad. I also had very low FPS in this game, even when playing on the lowest of settings where the game looked like shit. Edit: Also, 20-100 hours my ass. It doesn't seem to be any replay value either, even the secret level was dead boring consisting of inside jokes by the game developers and three waves of soldiers.
