It would be cool if the CV could be upgraded on the repair pad. It currently has plain armor. If it could be upgraded, the CV would become harder to kill over the course of a match. Thoughts?
Bio has 2.0 modifier, plain has 1.5. But bio has more health and it regenerates. You could choose any armor that you want and that would require resources (+ research of course) I don't see any problems with that.
That's unhelpful, dubee. I was trying to suggest something that has previously been undoable. However, now repair pads let you rearm.
well i thought everyone already agreed on not suggesting new features.. we need to focus on the bugs.. not adding new things that will bring up more bugs and more balancing
Isn't the fact that Bio MG can kill the CV in no time a bug? APC rush means end of the CV...and all other plain armor vehicles. Which is annoying. @Evan...you realize, new repair pad models are needed I think? I don't think the NF CV fits on the NF repair pad. BE CV might fit on BE repair pad. The flaw here is that you don't GET a repair pad early enough to counteract a bio MG rush. Just give the CV better armor by default.
I've always thought it was a bit strange that the most important vehicle in the whole fucking army had less armour than an APC. I mean if it is that important you'd try to fit as much armour on it as possible right? Who cares about manouvrability as long as it will resist a deadon impact of 3 HE arty shells...
Less armor than APC? It has 6, 4, 5, 5 inches on its sides. It's standard armor but that's still a lot. You also have 1200 hull health. A bit of armor (even composite) won't change much and that's fine.
I like this idea. You get reward when you have held back the first rush and then you have time as reward to build the repair pad and upgrade your CV to have better armor. Good idea.
the problem is that this balances it towards the winning team... i prefer ideas which benefit the loosing team.
