Custom Maps Testserver - Offline

Server is offline now, Sorry

Hi everyone,

i thought it could be usefull, if there is some public dedicated Server to test custom maps.

So i created the "Empires Map Testserver" - 85.214.21.151:27045

Current mapcycle:
emp_cyclopean_rc2
emp_canals
emp_mazev1-1
emp_fastestmap_v3
emp_tictactoe
emp_railroad_rc3

If you want to test your map on the Server just contact me via <removed>

Server is full dedicated and should run 24/7, 22 Slots and fast download is active.

Download problems have been finally fixed
Added res files for each map to download the content needed for each map.

If the Server crashed and dont restart, you can send me a PM.

errr the server seems to have bugged up. We were play that cyclo map and the level ended but we were all stuck on the server and it didn't change

Had a few good games though 1st

My poor little railroad looks rather puny among that rotation lol.

Great idea, one slight problem, a lack of res files. I joined in the hopes of being able to get the map from the server, but unfortunately I could not spawn as the overview map was missing. Not too much of a problem though, thanks to your neatly organised site.

same here i didnt notice, thanks for hosting, i look forward to checking everybodys maps out as well, i just have been swamped at work and when i get home its working on props time so ill look for the server

 

Hellion, I was playing in the server when you connected earlier tonight. It crashed a minute after you joined.

Also, broccoli, 6th monkey and I played railroad for a while and it was fun... but you gotta fix those tracks because its pretty easy to get the command vehicle stuck there.

 

yeh would probably be best to just make them passable

I think there seems to be another problem with the server, I mean I must of seen like 30 people try to connect but only 6 actually join, does the server allow download properly?:confused:

 

More people should start playing on this server. Why is it always empty?

I think we should idle in it when we are afk just to get ppl to join... noone wants to join a 0 ppl server.

 

I'll add it to the list for the next version.

 

The Server is allright and fast download is working.
Most ppl just dont want to wait for the map to be downloaded.

Better download the map from hlrse empiresvhe or Empires Files then from the server.

 

Can't you set up a fast download link, so if you don't have the map, it downloads it from those sites automatically?

 

i forget to add some file to the res file, so no one could download the all mapfiles complete. i am right now working to complete the res file.

 

Hi, I tried getting onto the map test server, but maps didn't start downloading. Do I need to dl them seperately?
