how about strange critters about? like desert mutant rats or something. or flying lizard things. or whould that slow down fps more then beeing an enjoyable addon in the empires wastelands. like the two ships on that desert map that flies above you.awesom stuff. but not to much blaha, becouse it should be wastelands and such. but just some things that adds to atmosphere.
I'm not sure how much of the AI system is left in the mod. You could quite easily program some basic roaming creatures client-side, which shouldn't affect fps too much (unless you have a pants processor). If they were implemented, they should be completely optional, and not really affect gameplay at all. As a purely visual thing, it might be fun.
somethink the size of a rat or small cat, and would effect your movment/aim at all, just like those plants.
They mean having creatures running around like the dropships in Wasteland but having them only on client side. The only issues I can see is whats the point, how does it effect gameplay, what happens if you shoot at one (since its only client side what do other people see?) and whos going to code it? I think Krenzo is worried more on the next patch not finding more thinks to work on.
As long as they don't attack me & just roam around like the Jawas in Star Wars: BattleFront (I think they also auto-repaired any near-by turrets in part 2)
You could put in the ichthyosaur from HL2 for a fish. :D It would have reprogrammed so that it doesn't drown though.
