hay, how about a crate that is at a random (predetermined) location for a short time before moving to another location. I got the idea from the Command and Conquer games where theirs always a crate somewhere on the map. the crate contains anything from resources to upgrades for vehicles (example: basic armor is change into composite armor) to a bomb going off (killing you).

    No.
Empires is not about random chance, everything should come down to what YOU did, in CnC, crates were good, they added a twist, empires already has so many features and stuff it's not a twist, it doesn't add much to gameplay either, and if it gives unreasonable buffs, like suddenly converting your regen vehicle to composite, that just screwed up your entire tank strategy, no one armor is best. Anyway, the whole idea is not useful, not 'fun' and overall not that great, welcome to the empires forums.

yeah, random crates are no good in empires. some more capturable stuff or buildable stuff would be fun tough (like the towers on what's it's name? canyon? the one with the bridge)

The one with the bridge is emp_slaughtered. The canyon is the green grassy one with a cliff in every corner.

It was just a suggestion, O-well. Another idea i have is capturable buildings that will help on the battlefield (example: a repair shop will very slowly repair all vehicles of that team, it does not repair armor). Just another idea for things for people to fight over.
by the way i prefer the mad cows

I'm pretty sure that's doable with brushes. Talk to a mapper.

I really like this idea but I think it should only be added to the much larger aircraft maps.. If your moving around by tank in a 16x larger then normal map I'm sure being able to capture a repair bay would be a nice feature to help keep things rolling smoothly.

And I use to own with the ninja rope :D

    capture-able buildings

I've gave it some thought and came up with 5 capture-able buildings to fight over

Repair Shop will very slowly repair all vehicles of that team
Abandoned Clinic will give all infantry of that team health regeneration, note: if a soldier has the Health Regeneration skill then he will regen twice as fast.
Sat. Com. will reveals all enemy info on the mini-map for 1sec. every 30sec.
Construction Warehouse all buildings built by the com. will be placed at 50%
Research Bunker decrease research time by 25%

don't worry, Empty. I shipped my truck to Australia, and hired a California high school grad. to drive it to the largest wool farm in Australia.
here is a picture of my truck
