With all the fancy ideas for the revamped GUI, here's mine: Commander's Tasklist: A list with player requests is available to the commander (GUI integrated, popup), players can issue specific request which are added to this list. The commander can jump to theses requests by clicking on the request or pressing a key. Infantry popup menu has extra request commands: in position (for base/rax) need refinery need backup/under heavy attack need targets/recon other ideas Requests are added to a tasklist for the commander Requests from the same area are grouped/accumulated Multiple requests from a player within a defined time period are ignored Muted Players requests are ignored Comm can klick on a "next task" button (optinally press a key) to move focus to the request location, this will also remove the request from the tasklist Comm can jump to a request location by clicking on the item in the list Comm can also manually remove reuests from the tasklist block further requests from a request area other ideas Can be used for/enhanced with related suggestions like PEQ marker or "Hey! Comm! Look at me!"
/support also finally a well thought out suggestion that not only consists of vague catchphrases again :D
It would already be great if one single point of this suggestion will be implemented: Infantry popup menu has extra request commands: need refinery
From a developer's view, I'd guess that it could be relatively easy to implement this as a stripped down version, without a gui list, by adding some of the current voice requests to the current spacebar/+jump queue, which only works for automatic messages right now (I was thinking that one of them -arty fire? already did this, but never checked...). Maybe we should have it the other way around, too ? comm: "players i need ideas quickly!" player: "..." player: "..." player: "..."
