Quick idea that came into my ahead. I would love to be able to combat roll, easier to dodge incoming rockets, vehicles and such. Default Key: R Function: Cobat Roll Stamina cost: same as jump or more. Pros:Easier to dodge New thing for infantry Cons: Coding Time
how about you dont have to worry about keybinds because you can rebind them anyway. and second this is as necessary as ... uhm ... idk ... someone tell me what the phrase for really unnecessary stuff is in english
I was thinking about the strafe, but the roll was going to have some distance on it, about 5 -7 extra feet gained.
barrel roll? lol. i guess this roll may be good for avoiding getting hit by bullets? like if u want to get from one wall to the next wall that is close by.. but some roflman knows ur gonna do that.. so u barrel roll to the wall and have a reduced chance of getting hit (or 100% not get hit at all)... but who will do the animation and models? ;o
meh if we need this it should be like in bf42 when you jump-prone, so you can use it to throw yourself to the ground or behind cover. i doubt that it really is needed though, strafe, duck and jump are sufficient to dodge whatever ...
Yeah I'd love to see this in-game. Also I'd love to see a guy who is willing to animate for Empires. And not, you know, just take animations from other games.
Well I mean we could have shitty 3rd party animations, or just use the DoD:S onces. Clear choice to me
Download Maya with a trial license and do it then. Or animate in max, or whatever you are using already. Stealing animation from DoD:S is a no-go, since Valve won't like it one bit, from what I remember at least. Rules might have changed now, when you only need one Source game to run Source mods. But if anything, stealing animations or other game art assets is just abhorrent. I'd rather have proprietary ones, even if they are ugly.
