I'm 99% sure that you've tried this - you've just been kicking some n00bs ass, and then you see another person, that you haven't seen, and are just about to shoot him - but nothing happens! There's about a second when you think "WTF?!", and then you remember that you need to reload. However, meanwhile, the enemy totally blown you up by using a rocket launcher (Or another weapon). So, basicly; Please add a click when you're out of ammo
I want to see an infantry battle, with an MG'er spamming death, then all of a sudden *click click click* and he gets rushed by 3 angry people, with the clicking being their cue...
did it all the time in golden eye, perfect dark, and halo. of course the cry of "oh shit, im out of ammo" coming form the guy next to you is much more audiable.
The Germans tied thier rushes to the sound of an American Garand rifle running out of ammo, the 'cling' ejecting the magazine. I think this would be a great idea.
yup. no auto reload. but have it so that you can be reloading, and if you choose to do something else, you can imidiately STOP reloading and switch to say, pistol. this is very important if you are a grenedier. it is also more realistic. then, if you go back to the weapon you were reloading you have to start again, which is perfectly acceptable. ::HALO!::

excellent idea Gigar, i know what you mean, without the click you often don't notice your ammo is depeleted mid battle, and then you die. I like the idea of a balance between auto- reload and manual reload. The second mouse tap- reload idea is a feature of many FPS games and would be very good for empiresmod to use.
