Can you make the speed and stamina of the different classes change? EX: Scout fast runner fast stamina EX: Grenader Slow Slow stamina EX: Riflmen medium speed fast stamina EX: Engeneer Fast speed Slow stamina i think it would give empires a more tactical game experience ~
no that sucks because then people will stack classes we need engeneers to be able to take out grenaders/ other engeneers but fall to riflemen or etc... in killing infintry riflmen scout engeneer grenader buildings/tanks grenader engeneer riflemen scout so on... EDIT: crap i misunderstood what you said.... uhhh forget this crapola yeah i agree of cource they should have poor accuracy while sprinting while standing they should have good accuracy now for some reason they dont when i stand and shoot my accuracy is great
That would be ok Sandbag, but Mike is suggesting that the stamina be diffrent for classes, and I think that's a great idea! It makes sense, and should help to diffrentiate from the classes. EDIT: In almost every game Mike your accuracy is increased the lower to the ground you are. In real life, do you think you could fire a heavy machine gun from the hip, or even from the shoulder!? Crouching is better, and best is being prone. But that isn't in yet so....
I'm all for it.. sounds good... just.. dont make it *too* intense.. otherwise it can get annoying as a grenadier when you want to go anywhere and walk for ages..
well i fired a auto shotgun good accuracy and also ive fired a fully automatic M4A1 in california... but dont tell the coppers lol
No. I hate games that have different speeds for classes. Just seperates groups and doesn't add anything to a game.
I actually agree. In bf2, when I'm in a squad and we are all different classes following each other, we end up separated and get picked off one by one. Doesn't add much teamwork, except proving the fact that you are only as good as your slowest man, but no one wants to wait for a slow ass grenadier :D
But are you actually running around on foot in squads in Empires? If you're going a long way, you're gonna grab a vehicle, and everybody else can cram in there, too. I think that a little differentiation could be accomplished without breaking people up too much.
:D I've fired heavy machinegun from the hip, from the shoulder and from the knee(not to forget prone, which is where you usually shoot). I almost fell on my ass when I fired a four round burst from the shoulder standing. :D The trainer kept shouting: "RELEASE THE TRIGGER!" :D Army is fun. I also would like to point out that Empires MGs are terribly underpowered. In real life MGs give out much more damage than ARs due to longer cartridge(more gunpowder) and longer barrel(more muzzle velocity due to longer time bullet is pushed by the gas). As for the stamina: I agree with ^Dee^, it would separate squads in early game when there are no vehicles around.
a bit too much tfc for me. I dont think this would be a good idea for all classes, except maybe giving the scout more speed.
engeneer too! evereyone hates ref grabbing in the beganiing of the game maybe high speed but low stamina
They should be as fast as a Scout logically, since the Field Binocculars and the Repair Kit should weigh about as much, and they are both extremely light classes. I thinbk to make up for everything the other two (which probably did undergo mroe harsh training then the latter classes) would have to sprint slower due to the weight they have on them, but have longer stamina, one, because they aren't running as fast, two, because they are more physically trained in just about all cases.
Grens really need to be a fast class to compete with vehicles (especially late-game vehicles). As a gren, my 3rd and 4th skills are speed and stamina upgrades and I'm still too slow! While I like the idea of making the classes more distinct, nerfing the gren shouldn't be on the menu :^( Says the gren player :^)
I play grenadier alot too, and I really don't think a person should be competing against a vehicle in terms of speed........Just ambush them, or stay somewhere high where you can rocket snipe them.
