Still not fixed. Suggestions... 1. Increase tickets a substantial amount, but have them stop when they hit one. OR 2. Increase tickets a substantial amount. OR 3. make it back to the way it was. I've talked it over with the guys and #1 seems to be unanimous(seems to be). As it stands right now, the map is still shit...utter, unadulterated shit. STILL. Why ruin a good map? D: I know people bitched, but the ones who complain seem to always end up on the losing team >_<
I don't think it's too bad, but: if there is ticket bleed down to one ticket, then it should be easy for a good team to get the bad team down to one ticket ten minutes before the good team gets there, because it does take a long time to clean up the one ticket team. i am 100% behind the "stay on one ticket" idea.
I have already made the changes to the map, and now each side will start with 3500 tickets. This way it would take 58 minutes to bleed with one flag and 28 minutes to bleed with 2 flags. If this is still too short I may bump it to 4000.
so basically, the more flags you have, the quicker you lose all your tickets? different, but interesting.
Only the middle two flags cause bleeding. So the fastest you can win is 28 minutes. (or a little faster if you kill the other team over and over)
its between the NF base and a flag, and theirs a wall on the west of the rock. its huge, and when I played, exploited to hell by turret climbing and spamming MLs where they have a clear shot at NF base.
*bump* theres alot more than 3500 tickets on that map. I think just before RC13 was released, a temporary server setting was used to up the ticket amount for that map, and has not been changed back, causing 16000 tickets, which is way too much. I think the ticket amount should never go above 7000.
ya 16000 might have been enough with the old ticket bleeding, but since it has been slown down the map could potentially last for 2 hours (or more)
16000 was too much period. Jcw87 means that a server setting multiplied start tickets, and was never changed back for the version that defaults to the higher ticket count, causing the desired amount to increase drastically
this map seriously seriously seriously needs progressive research. nuke tanks and reactive armour from the start = loose.
yeah currently this map makes everyone leave the server which sucks 1 hour into the game both teams have no VF both teams have half the maps flags and are just running in circles... this lasts over 3 hours yesturday it went to that map.. so i left took a shower went out for lunch came back watched a tv show and then joined and it was still on this map and noone could win..
NF won eventually.. but it was a silly game, reminded me of escort/district in the end.. BE had fortified their last flag and NF we're trying to assault it. That stalemate lasted for at least 45 min
