Hi, I have tried reinstalling and deleting clientregistry.blob, but this doesn't work. Hopefully someone can tell me what else to try. When I try to join I instantly get a message that the server isn't responding. Neither works when using console "connect".
do you for some reason block ports or ip addresses relevant to empires? or it could actualy be a problem with the game, idk havnt played for a while ...
Sounds like a bad connection, port forwarding issue, firewall issue or something along those lines. Open up the command prompt and type "ping 46.105.98.107". If you can get something out of that, chances are high it's the firewall or the ports need to be forwarded.
It must have been something weird inside my router. I disabled port forwarding and enabled DMZ and I can get in now. I don't see how that would influence a client connection, but whatever. Thanks for the quick replies
DMZ should always be the very last shitty solution to router problems. DMZ = I can fuck your PC in every hole there is over the Net ove: NAT= I can only fuck your PC through forwarded ports
