i used to be able to play empires but since i have moved from having a two monitor setup to having a one monitor setup i can't seem to start empires. i have tried resetting the launch options but it does not have any effect. i was using -noborder -windowed launch settings. when i try to start empires i see the "steam is launching empires" but nothing happens after that. it starts then ends in the process list very briefly each time.
You have to change your resolution to whatever the resolution of your monitor is, through the advanced options menu. in the advanced menu do -L(length res) and -W(width res). currently it tries to open the thing on the double monitor resolution. Also I'm not sure if that's the proper way of typing that command.
Yeah, and if not, try -autoexec or whatever it is like that that you put in the launch options. But Grant's idea should work. As an example, I have: -windowed -noborder -w 1920 -h 1200 So that shit should work.
