Update on the issue at hand, I was on the phone with one of the managers from Metrocast yesterday for well over 2 hours and he couldnt see anything from his end so its internal. He's giving me a free NIC card to turn one of my old computers into a router / firewall computer :D
And I might get an internship there :D

 

The lesson in this is: Don't mess with 15 year old trigger-twitchy fingered morons that can hack, because their immaturity will call for them to hack the fuck out of you.

 

As soon as I get the proper equipment setup if this happens again a spoofed IP wont help anyone. Because from what I can understand so far his real IP MUST exist somewhere in those packets, theres noway he can send those and just somehow have his IP become 'fake' in the process.

I'l be setting up a linux firewall on the red zone for sure but I might make a program to examine the incoming packets and resolve the actual IP that it came from.

And if this attack actually came from the bastard that I posted his information all over the web on...well lets just say that he cant hack his way out of a storm of lead :D

Knight, I doubt he was 15. A 15 year old would've had the maturity to TELL me he was going to DDoS me where as say a 10 or 12 year old would just be like 'lol click click click!".

Working on setting up an IPcop firewall machine so as soon I get that installed the IDS is coming online and his piss poor IP spoofing method wont work again because now the firewall will actually use deep packet inspection :D

 

Dude that's extreme. I wish I knew what that meant, but what I can understand, that guy's gonna be in some trouble.

 

Thats if he attacks me again and if he is dumb enough to be using his own computer ( which I assume he is =D )
