Can i get help with IRC?

    I have NO idea how to operate one, and the tutorial at the website (gamesurge.net) doesnt help.

    Can someone please provide a cookbook instruction, step-by-step of how to participate in an IRC?

    First you need an IRC client such as mirc, xchat, pidgin or if you use firefox the chatzilla extension.

    After initial setup setting your nick etc. you need to connect to the irc.gamesurge.net server and join #empiresmod.

    A quickstart for mIRC here shows the basics, but you have to select a gamesurge server instead of dalnet.

    Okay, i selected the gamesurge.net and clicked the conect button. A chat dialogue comes up but it still claims that i am not connected.

    wtf??

    The "chat window" could be just server's status report thingy report. After that you have to join a channel. Now you are just connected to the server.
