Brenodi Player Models

When playing on district yesturday, the player models were really dark, only visible in bright light. I'm not sure why this is, but if anyone else has this then It must be a bug rather than my own copy of empires, or my PC.

Also, the neutral flags as well

 

Did you check your gamma settings, they might have been set to low. Also check your brightness settings.

 

It's not about gamma I guess. Many people have the same thing and models are dark only in some places (depends if something blocks light source). I have Vista but people with XP noticed it too. Maybe it's something broken by steam update?

 

r_radiosity uh.. 4 or 5 I think. Wait maybe 3. One of those anyway. I'll check what it should be before next release and ask Krenzo to make the right one default.

 

I've got the same problem. I was talking to at least 3 or 4 others who do too.

Models (players/turrets/ammo boxes/etc) are black when not in direct sunlight. :-\

yeah im sure i have had some thing like this before... and it was on district... not that you would notice on another map..

 

this has happened but i kinda liked it

 

It happened on my laptop but not on my desktop.

 

I figured I couldn't see the best model detail in the shade cause my settings were low or something. They're not btw

 

Did any of you try the command I posted?

 

when running radiosity, it says it can only be run on a server with sv_cheats 1

 

Which means it won't accept anything other than the default. I'll get onto this for 1.08.
