You cant put the bullets up there, it looks stupid and makes no sense Theres a difference between realism and degrees of logic. That placement makes no sense.
Ah, so you're not trolling, you just fail at communicating. The bullets are probably less than a sixth the length of the barrel. Yes, that did occur to me, but it never seemed important. It would also be easy for the Brenodi to make that work because with their nano tech they could easily make a mechanism to move the bullets back without bulking up the gun.
isnt it going to be an inaccurate but powerful gun? does it really need a long barrel then? http://www.germanmanuals.com/images/mp40-8-9.jpg like this, the spring (i think this pistol has a spring too right?) needs all the space, and the bullets don't have to be that accurate
Well you kind of need the barrel to be of a certain lenght to be able to build up enough pressure to make the muzzle velocity high enough for the round to be powerful. And if you look at that MP40 it does have a decently long barrel for a pistol round and if you compare it to the Pistol3 assuming similar internals it virtually have no barrel. Just lenghtening the barrel a smudge would make it more feasible A battery driven loading mechanism seems a bit exessive to put on a simple sidearm, your adding alot of weight to the pistol without any real gain. Empires already has railguns so make it a rail pistol, the battery is used to power rails on the gun. It could be a sort of hybrid that utilizes both rails and gunpoweder to propel the round and could to some degree excuse a very short barrel, if you reduced the size of the trigger and moved it slightly back would allow one to use the pistol with thick gloves aswell.
[RAEG]STOP MAKING TEXT WALLS OF TECHNICAL BULLSHIT WE DON'T CARE HOW THE GUN WORKS. AS LONG AS IT LOOKS BELIEVABLE ITS FINE[/RAEG]
I think its just a visual representation of the ammo count, and the actual bullets are stored in the handle or whatever. I don't pretend to know anything about guns. Although... I still think it would be pretty awesome if that battery pack was converted into an explosive round launcher.
hey, it was just an idea i dont design guns for a living please just abolish my bad ideas if they truly are bad
