I used the B-2 as reference, made it look a bit more modern and added V.T.O.L. (896 tris atm)














Is there somewhere on this website a list with what planes are done for either faction?

Btw why is UV mapping so bloody hard to do? and where is the *modelling section* of this forum?

 

That looks bloody awesome I have to say. Do you plan on skinning it yourself once it is UV mapped? And yeh UV mapping is a pain in the ass, the hardest part of modelling IMO :/

The other planes were shown in the old Dev Blogs thread butyoull have to search for them.

And theres no modelling section because nobody models for Empires except the devs

 

It's a B2. I don't see any significant difference.

Also those large polygons aren't going to look good when it comes to vertex based lighting.

 

Agreed, and don't be afraid to have more than a couple thousand polies, the playermodels have loads of polies. And while getting inspiration from a B2 is okay, you've just made a clone.

 

Where is the VTOL? :S

 

It is a B2,I wont lie about that, but I made it a bit smaller as you can see here:

It is a clone, but there is no concept art, no list of planes, no lore, there is nothing! If it doesnt fits in empires, fine I will make it different.

It is hard to see with the previous screenshots, on these ones you can see it better.

I am not scared, it is normal for any project that you start with the low poly model and then start adding detail, not the other way around.

And instead of saying "It is a clone!" get me some concept art where I can work with.

 

There's no concept art for empires. You should be doing it yourself, sketch it then make it.

study the tanks and you'll get a good idea what kind of details to add for each faction...

 

If you would be able to make a blimp, you will get Gold Status.

And, if you need concept art, there's a crashed BE ship in the Hammer Editor.

The name Kirov is a placeholder, find a name for this beast.

 

Northern Faction Blimb

 

Uhm i thought BE BLIMPS cause the fins look like their logo

 

I don't think there are any blimbs without that logo, they look just like kirovs from RA2, IE the russians.

 

Brenodi wont get a blimp, they are NF exclusive
