Actually...no. How do you capture one? I guess you using a custom map? Because during the campaign killing a Lord always ends the level. For all my obsession with DK2, I have never tried a custom map or checked any DK forums much. Do you get singleplayer custom maps?
No. I stopped playing DK1 after I got DK2. At first I hated DK2, I was trying to play it like DK2. Then I chilled out, tried it again and 'got' it.
Valkyria Chronicles (PS3) Rune Factory (DS) Second Sight (PC, PS2, Xbox, GC) Jet Set Radio Future (Xbox) Contra: Shattered Soldier (PS2) Super Punch Out (SNES) Grandia II (PC, DC, PS2) Wild Guns (SNES) Zone of the Enders/Second Runner (PS2)
Favourite civilization? Right now I don't play online, I just mostly tinker with the game. I've extended New World to the Industrial Age, gave a few CTW units to various civilizations, etc.
Action RPG Stick Ranger! (I added the exclamation mark because this kind of Japanese game just sounds like you have to pronounce it with an exclamation)
When you get a jail, you have to make sure your monsters are set to knockout rather than murder. Then, once imps drag the poor bugger to the jail, pluck him out and drop him in the torture chamber. Now you'll need to spend a lot of time watching and torturing him, you have to regularly heal him, or else he'll die. And I mean a lot of healing. After about 5 minutes, he'll join your side and you'll have a 'knight' This occurred on a level that had multiple 'lords of the land', IE I got multiple knights come through with the raiding parties. The lord of the land is technically a knight, you don't see many though. He's kickass, highest HP unit, has a few spells from what I remember, and he's FUN to possess and whack the crap out of dwarves! This is in DK1. Make sure you find a crate that lets you take a unit to the next level, that way you can keep your kickass level 10 knight. I've never played DK2 unfortunately.
Yeah I realised after I posted you were talking about DK1. It`s great. DK2 is more refined and better in most ways, but does miss a few monsters and features from DK1 I`d have liked to see.
It's quite well known actually. I know at least 2 people offhand who have played it, not including myself.
the topic is best games no one has heard of. Arcanum was almost a good game, think fallout but slower and easy to munchkin to the point of implayability.
