BE's RPG does more damage than NF's

    I found a difference in the scripts which in my opinion is quite big issue.

    You find this from the weapon_emp_nf_rpg.txt scrip:

    WeaponData
    {
    // Weapon characteristics:
    "Damage" "80" // damage
    "Bullets" "1" // bullets per shoot
    "CycleTime" "3" // time between shoots

    And this from the weapon_emp_imp_rpg.txt script:

    WeaponData
    {
    // Weapon characteristics:
    "Damage" "105" // damage
    "Bullets" "1" // bullets per shoot
    "CycleTime" "3" // time between shoots

    So in other words BE's RPG does more damage even the time between shots is the same and the rest of the scripts are identical except the parts which cannot be.

    So Be has all the time advantage with their RPG because it does more damage than NF's RPG and even when NF research RPG upgrade, which gives their RPG 15 damage boost, resulting to 95 damage, NF's RPG still isn't as powerful as BE's non-upgraded RPG.

    When the NF does the second and last RPG upgrade, their RPG does 120 damage but when BE gets their second and last RPG upgrade, their RPG does 145, even more than either of the mortars which both do 120 damage.

    There's an error which should be fixed.

    That´s why I always got 1-killed as rifleman when a BE-gren shot a rocket at me and hit, but when I did this as a NF-gren, he wouldn´t die.

    I don't think a 20 damage difference per rpg matters that much, especially not seeing as how nf has fasters lts, fasters meds, and the best anti infantry weapon (nfar)

    I think this has to do something with the NF RPG also being an anti-aircraft gun (someone stated that the NF RPG will act as a Stinger missile launcher when aircraft are released), and the BE RPG only being an anti-vehicle gun.

    Still the BE RPG could do with a bit of toneing down.

    Don't tone it down! It's already enough pain to strike tanks down.

    It could be a compensation for their crappy aim.

    I agree with Avair. it used to be that the BE had the BE AR to compensate, but people didn't like that. BE certainly should have an advantage.

    They are same good. Disctrict with nfar or with bear, I'm always first on scoreboard :P.

    But the rpg is very unfair.

    oh nice find now that I think about it all rpg infantry kills I got have mainly been BE. On island you can often pick of engys with BE rpg. BE rpg is harder to use because of HUGE protection plate thing, but this feels very inconsistent I say they need to be the same.

    the infantry research upgrade isn't affected by this, is it? I mean, that gives a flat 15 and 25 pt bonus, and not a percentage, right? A percentage would only increase the difference.

    Buttery Lobster. The infantry research is affecting this and I think the 15 and 25 are the raw damage which gets added on those values. With full research for RPGs the BE's RPG does 145 damage which is more than mortar's 120 damage.

    No. At least for vehicles armor/engine/weapons not. I updated all of them.

    lol I smell a cover up.. this aint right.. your in bsid... and so is dizzy/beerdude who balances weapons... and you guys are always BE in clan matchs... hmm yeah this just doesnt add up :rolleyes:

    hmmm lets go test it a man should not die from 80 damage right ? so we could go shoot each other with both rpgs.

    I think we only chose BE once in any of our clan matches. Every other time, it was the opposing team choosing NF forcing us to BE. I don't even use the rockets as BE, since the nf light tank is still bugged and rockets/mortars go through the wheels.
